Ingredients needed are 1 cauliflower, 1 small green cabbage, 60g butter or marg, 60g wholemeal flour, 1 pint of milk, 120g of grated stilton (or cheese of your choice), 100g shelled chopped walnuts.
First wash the cauliflower and cabbage, break the cauliflower into small florets and thickly shred the cabbage. Mix them in a large bowl and add about 5 tablespoons of water. Cover with cling film and microwave for 10 minutes or until they are cooked but still nice and crunchy.
Then melt the butter in another bowl for 20 seconds, add the milk and flour mixing thoroughly. Microwave for 4 minutes stiring halfway through. Then add the grated cheese and chopped walnuts, mixing well. Microwave for another 2 mins or until the cheese is completely melted. Drain vegetables, and pour over the sauce ready to serve. Put a sprig of something fancy on top if this makes you happy. Should serve 4 people unless you are really hungry.

Hello veg heads!
I haven’t added anything more to the blog for a few days but I have not abandoned it yet. The charger for my camera is playing hide and seek. Until I find it I can’t post the reviews I’ve been writing on some of the wonderful gadgets I’ve been spending my pennies on.
Inbetween frantic searches for the charger I’ve been sowing lots of seeds, buying mouldy garlic from Wilkinsons and taking it back, and constructing my first raised bed with link-a-bord.
Happy gardening.

I’ve just walked into the town to buy some wall baskets from Wilkinsons and managed to get 10. But as soon as I got home I noticed that the 4 in the middle are broken :( Looks like I’ll be getting alot of exercise today.

I’ve been interested in bokashi since hearing about it on the wiggly wigglers podcast ages ago. I finally decided to take the plunge and bought a bokashi bucket from them, I found the time to sit down to set it up tonight. The bucket was simple to put together and fits neatly in a kitchen cupboard out of sight. As soon as I see some results and get my first full bucket of pre-composted organic matter I’ll try to write a short review.
I’ve added Wiggly Wigglers to the links to suppliers in the side bar.

Hi, my name is Colin and I’m going to be moving into a new home with my first garden sometime over the summer, with my one year old border terrier Megan trying her best to distract me! I’m already excited and I’m making preperations right now to begin my organic vegetable production, this blog is my way of sharing this journey.
I’ll start building up the bare bones of this site over the next week or so and if anyone has any tips I’ll be grateful as I am new to blogging and have no idea what I’m doing with wordpress.
